Our petite garden in LAMAN Mac/April

Feel quite excited to see our small garden in LAMAN Mac/April:):)

Tia Mia lebih excited bila nampak Stevie their cat in the magazine- they said "Stevie in the magazine! Stevie in the magazine!":);)

Thanks to Nor Salehan and the Photographer Mr Jasmi Baba! Our garden looks good in the magazine:);) 

Kenang-kenangan.

I love this shot by Jasmi Baba- he managed to bring out the dreamy effect- nampak sejuk:);) suddenly i miss Cameron and i miss Ye Olde Smoke House:)

Taman Hebat? - Thank You- nothing much in term of space or high end garden furnitures but it's full with love and memories- this is a place where myself,the girls,husband,Uwan,family and not to forget Heni spent half of our time- it witnessed Tia Mia's first step- it witnessed Uwan during her stronger days - last time Uwan can still sweep the garden now i am thankful to Allah Swt that she is still here and able to sit on the swing while listen to the bird singing:)

The Cubby house is inside the magazine too- every corner of our house plays important roles in our life- it carves memories, it witnesses good and bad time- it's our sanctuary and it's a place where we grow love and hope.

And today is extremely hot- we didn't go out anywhere- Stevie pun tak lariat asyik memerap di belakang rumah mencarik tempat sejuk- felly pulak lari tidur dalam bilik air- kerana panas saya pun tak larat nak mengambil apa gambar pun- suami membantu 'touch up" wall yang mana paint nya dah buruk- i cooked asam pedas with terung today.

Tea;  i made bubur kacang hijau- the girls sat in the kitchen with Uwan and their Barbie CD.And time surely flies fast as tomorrow already Monday 24th Feb 2014! pfuhhhh better go and sleep now:):)

Impiana@Dapur Magazine in my petite kitchen.

Salam,

Last month when the Laman team came for garden shooting at my house they asked whether they can recommend my kitchen to the Dapur team- was a bit malu to agree because there's nothing much in my small kitchen;):)

Today the nice team came: a journalist,graphic designer and Mr Photographer- Thanks to Suhaida and team- they did a good job- they showed me the pictures that they took and i like it:);) Unlike garden/laman shooting kitchen's session took  a bit longer-about 2 hours.They told me that it will come out in April- May issue.

They asked for fruits or veges as accessories- so i happened i ran out of fruits today:( lucky i have tomatoes in fridge- tomatoes on port meirion chopping board.

They took some pictures from my wet kitchen too.

Stevie and Felly (the cats) place to lepak- they were asked to go jalan2 during the shooting:)

Have a great weekend peeps! no rest for us tomorrow- got to be at UIA stadium gombak for Tia Mia's Sport Day! i am stress as we ve got to be there latest by 7.30 am!

Summer

Salam,

Been gone for quite sometimes:) Ditelan kesibukan di sana sini- kalah pada cuaca panas mc beberapa hari- Alhamdulillah lately ada hujan membasah bumi- walaupun sedikit semua in the garden pun happy:)

Little updates from me.

Rain or Shine- Alhamdulillah- both have different contributions- rose sangat rajin berbunga sekarang- jatuh satu keluar 4 atau 5 kuntum yang baru.

Terasa nak berbunga di luar dan di dalam- menghilang stress dan kepenatan:)

Make over uwan's sofa- tempat lepak uwan seharian- sofa dah usang- nak di buang bukan senang- di beri nafas baru sikit- dulu2 travel ke Cannes bukan main rajin bawak balik patchwork ni- sekarang banyak boleh di beli di sini "Made in China" tapi yang di beli jauh2 susah nak bawak balik ni tetap istimewa di hati:) Di buatkan tempat rehat orang yang istimewa jugak- terletak di tepi dapur di bilik study sedang nak berkomunikasi dengan uwan bila masak. Cushion2 sandar sofa ni di buang supaya tempat duduk lebih luas macam daybed- ini pun langkah berjimat kan:)

Busy days and nites,full weekends - i miss simple kampung life- i like to see kitchen racks full with homemade pickles, unperfect self-sewn table cloth- i made some jeruk belimbing buluh in my favourite Mason jars- thought of making lime and lemon pickles too:) 

Cooking? Not many pictures of my cooking this time- caught in office and jam on the way back- this is the highlight for this week- simple but delicious pais ikan tenggiri with garlic paste,turmeric,black pepper and wrapped in daun kunyit- just bake in the magic pan-oh lala sedapnya.

Weekend was full too- Saturday the girls had pre sport day at their school- they have yet to start with their swimming lesson- will only start in April- so pergi cheer anak orang ajar.

Both participated in Telematch- no more lari dalam guni nowadays- they have replaced it with "Burger Race"

Last Sunday we sent the girls to their classmate birthday party- excited dapat invitation from classmate 

The theme was Fairytales and i bought them new dresses and shoes.

There! ready to go:)

But pergi macam Princess balik serabai! jumping non stop:)

Yang Terhebat di Mata dan Terindah di Hati.

Friday - we took a journey to Uwan's kampung- To mama- this place is Yang Terhebat di Mata dan Terindah di Hati- I hope both of you share the same feeling.

Tia can't wait to reach kampung.

While Mia wrote in her diary about the journey:)

It was jam near Nilai and we had to be calm and smile:).

We reached Senawang around 1.00 pm and were tired and hungry- most of the shops were closed but we found this small cafe.

The owner was nice and the food was good- especially this apple kasturi- perfect drink for a hot day.

The nasi ayam was good- Tia Mia ate a lot- Uwan asked for bee hoon soup- and it was equally good .

Heni and Pashik&Mashik reached kampung earlier than us- by the time we arrived Heni already made the room and swept the house.

Hmmm how can i resist to fall in love with kampung- we were greeted by lovely red rambutans on the tree.

Kampung was clean and in good conditions- Pashik managed to find one Indonesian that renting next door to keep the compound clean- he has done a good job- 

Uwan di pimpin naik perlahan-lahan and duduk di tempat di selalunya berehat dulu- terharu hatinya dengan mata yang kabur banyak yang indah tidak dapat di lihat- hanya mata hati meneroka ke seluruh pelusuk rumah- mesti lah rindu kan- ini lah 'syurga' dulu2 nya.

Berita sedih Kak Ambit sebelah rumah suaminya nazak bila kita sampai- selepas bacaan Yasin kami pun mengambil makanan dari rumahnya- sedap lah sesekali makan nasi kenduri macam tu- by the time senja- suami Kak Ambit pun menemui Pencipta- di hari Jumaat yang mulia- Al Fatihah buat Pak cik Karim- baik orang nya dan banyak budi kepada kami terutamaya semasa uwan masih duduk sendirian di kampung dulu.Moga dia di tempat kan di kalangan orang2 beriman.

Rumah Uwan as usual sentiasa menunggu kita- once we stepped in the house macam tak pernah di tinggalkan.

Melihat keluar kampung sangat indah- aman,damai bagai melangkah ke suatu dunia lain- jauh dari kegilaan kuasa dan harta- tiada yang diperlukan di sini kecuali hati yang aman dan jiwa yang tenteram.

Malam kita sambut hari ulang tahun ke 38 Pashik dan Mashik:):) moga keduanya diberkati dengan segala kebaikan.Amin.

Pagi subuh di kejutkan dengan kokokan ayam dan azan dari masjid kampung- suasana yang sangat dingin bagai duduk di tanah tinggi- selimut hingga 3 lapis- embun dan kabus tebal menyelubungi kampung- di pagi yang dingin mendengar suara Pashik yang dulunya Johan Qari Daerah Kuala Pilah membaca ayat2 suci sangat indah dan tenang. Mia bangun terus bekejar melihat pokok rambutan nya.

Pagi yang indah dan sejuk.

We had breakfast at uwan's laman- semua pun sedap rasanya-maklumlah sejuk.

My nasik goreng ikan bilis belacan cepat saja habisnya.

We had a good time di selang seli berkongsi sedih dengan kehilangan Pakcik Karim.

And we met this si gebu sangat handsome rupanya.

morning we took the girls to Ulu Bendul not far from uwan's kampung but the water there was sooooo cold- and the girls couldnt stand it:)

We went to Kuala Pilah but the Mee Hailam shop was closed so went back uwan's house and relax.

Kebahagiaan memang melimpah ruah bila balik- i am glad that the girls shared the same feeling with me.

heni couldnt wait nak ambik rambutan- kalau di ikutkan mahu dia turunkan semua buah but we asked her to keep some for the neighbour.

And the girls had fun picking up rambutaan- this is their first experience sangat seronok nampaknya.

We had tea at the laman too- it was lemang with ikan masin.

Petang we round jambatan kampung.

And we had dinner with all kind of sambal and ulam:)

Sunday we went to Kuala Pilah for breakfast at Selera Pantai Timur.

The shop is near to the Dewan Kuala Pilah- This is where i got married 12 years ago- we took picture as kenangan.

And today ada orang yang nak kahwin di dewan ni- terus teringat zaman2 dulu.

Tia Mia sibuk bertanya' where were we when you got married?" ha ha ha.

After the good breakfast we went to Pekan Ahad to buy sayur2 kampung.

And we bought N9 delicacy - ayam kampung rendang daun puding- sedappp;)

Buah sepang or known as badak berendam by other states.

Balik after dah letak tulang untuk direbus di atas dapur we jumped into the river infront of uwan's house.

It seems that you had more fun here compared to ulu bendul:)

We had a good and memorable 3 days 2 nights at Uwan's kampung- we shall come back soon;);)
