Menyusur Jalan Kenangan to meet lovely&beautiful people and we welcome Felly&Stevie to our house!

Yesterday we made a sweet journey i.e menyusur Jalan Kenangan:) a place familiar to me when i was small- now due to the highway etc we hardly pass the area.

 

We went there to meet parents of a beautiful lady- it was a sweet meet up as both were very nice and lovely,we were welcome to their home and served delicious food:) Macam dah lama kenal duduk berbual macam2- berjanji itu bukan visit yang terakhir- In Sha Allah when we have time we surely singgah lagi. To the daughter of the lovely parents in a faraway land thank you very very much.

Papa took us jalan2 at town Jalan Kenangan and we stopped at A&W yang papa pun masa dulu2 selalu singgah- dah makan pun we ordered Float and chicken for the girls- tengok tu panas sangat baru keluar kuali.The puasa mama just teguk air liur;)

 

As promised on the way back we stopped at Maklang's house to pick up the girls's birthday present- Wahhh banyak bonar bungo rose maklang rupo nyo:)

 

Serious betul maklang menanam rose- disana sini ada rose- very cantik her garden.

 

It is nice to be in garden surrounded by roses:)

 

We sat for a while melepaskan penat and tunggu the girls membiasakan diri dengan birthday present dia orang.

 

 

Bila puasa semua benda terhidang pun cabaran besar.

 

It was a lovely evening but we had to make a move.

 

Ini lah dia "Stevie"- mak parsi bapak local-mak putih melepak ni mesti genes bapak..he he  gelap gelita- walaubagaiman pun tetap manis.

Welcoming another two lifes to our house- to share our food and love:) And to Felly and Stevie if you want to see Hello Kitty you have to finish your food as hello kitty will be smiling in your bowl after that:)

Activity on Saturday before yesterday's trip- we went to buy groceries at Aeon Big with Uwan.

 

Aeon Big KD tak tersusun sangat lagi sejak takeover but i always like their apple crumble cake- sedap rupanya.We bought berkilo-kilo carrot until tak muat fridge:)

 

Minggu ni tak laju sangat masak maybe puasa penat sikit but managed to cook a few- among it was this nice Mee Curry- extra tofus just the way i like it:)

 

I baked Talapia Fillet in garlic and herb - must be nice because the girls just ate this without the rice.

 

 

This is the new addiction now- ye lah baru ada juicer kan..he he..i made carrot,apple and orange juice for every buka puasa  without fail:);)

 

Since the past few weekends the activities were packed,travel etc, we missed many Iqraq lesson at home- so this week kena ulangkaji start dari Iqraq 1 balik supaya ingat semua.Kalau mengaji memang cepat lah ngantuk..see siap atas katil lagi:)

 

menunggu Ustazah- Alahmdulillah not so bad boleh baca Iqraq 2 dengan elok after that.

 

 

And nak tunjuk jugak last Wednesday my brother pi ambik my mother kat rembau and brother kat rembau orderkan durian..wahhh suka hati bila balik nampak permandangan ini:)

 

Isi pun sangat cantik:)

 

Minggu puasa ni banyak lah rezeki- pemberian dan sedekah dari sana sini.Alhamdulillah!

My Old Pareo:)

Mula2 Alhamdulillah syukur tak terhingga sampai keluar airmata petang ni hujan:)

I worried too much i guess,reading about the danger of haze in the newspaper made me feel sad and jumpy- i think about uwan and the girls- as manusia memang lah kesabaran kurang kadang2:) petang ni rasa sayu melihat keluar tingkap office semua kelabu macam berakhirnya zaman, teringat uwan di rumah abang di Rembau,teringat anak2- memang mengangkat tangan menadah  meminta rahmat Allah Swt menurunkan hujan. Alhamdulillah balik rumah sedang menyiapkan juadah nak berbuka berdentum dentam guruh kuatnya- menitis lah jugak airmata melihat rahmat dan kebesaran Nya dan sedikit sedih dengan ketidaksabaran di dalam hati.

Secondly thank you so much for the sweet wishes,doas, cyber hugs and kisses for Tia and Mia.I have told them,showed the pictures that some of you have sent:);) The two asked - " Mama why these people so nice to us? They must be nice too, right mama?" - Kasih di beri,Kasih diterima, Kasih di balas okay:):)

I dont have much to share this week, no food pictures too (puasa kan malas lah nak snap gambar). But i  have bought 3 new items related to 'isu semasa" :):)

Due to my big worry about haze i went to the Mall and bought a Humidifier;) Banyak nya choice sampai tak tahu mana nak pilih, Cik Katak,Cik B, Cik Donald tu semua dah jumpa:):) I bought one that  produces mist and priced at RM179.

Doctor  said must drink lot of water and fruit juice so i went to buy Fruit Juicer too:) I bought Panasonic commercial use Juicer priced at RM189- so good i tell you, boleh masuk banyak fruit sekali- i boleh letak 5 carrots,5 apples and 5 oranges and it has big space for the fiber. It was a good buy walaupun bukan lah Breville ke apa:);) I letak on the kitchen counter supaya boleh guna everyday kalau simpan kat cabinet sure jadi gajah putih.

Without any plan and after buying the juicer and humidifier i bought this portable sewing machine too- Bukanlah Global tapi brand from  Korea called Shimono and priced at RM199. I memang tak pernah jahit pakai mesin seumur hidup, dari dulu i sentiasa rasa my otak bahagian menjahit,menyulam memang kurang berfungsi sikit or my sister put it bluntly "cacat..Cisssss! Therefore i ve been meaning to overcome my "kecacatan" for long- my mother used to sew night gown for me when i was small- i always remember the fun sitting at her back waiting for her to finish my kotak2 baju tidur:)

So balik jer bawak mesin jahit i can't wait to start my first project:) But tak ada kain nak di potong buat baju pulak- i carik2 dalam my wardrobe..ahaaaaa i dah ada idea! 

Without further delay i cut my old pareo into two:)

I then started with my project- but this machine a bit hopeless, asyik tercabut ajar,dah tu ringan pulak,i pulak kasar kudukkkk kudukkkk kudukkk tak henti nak menyiapkan Kaftan- terus bengong sikit machine ni:) ha ha orang first time pegang machine kan- macam first time drive kereta- i felt so good after that- sewing machine is not an atom bomb or whatsoever after all- it is quite friendly if you know how to use it:)- rasa macam nak beli mesin proper lepas i habis buat project semalam:)

So ini lah hasilnya anak ku walaupun your mama tak pernah pegang sewing machine seumur hidup,masa muda2 dulu kain terbukak pun pakai stapler jer but your mama dah overcome her ridiculous fright! The proper Tailor might laugh looking at my Kaftan but i am so damn proud of it..and you better be proud too girls:)

Two proud girls wearing her proud mom Kaftans- actually they memang proud :masa the papa balik office  tak sabar2 they tunggu and cakap " papa, mama made us this dress- she used the new machine to make it you know!":):) Tapi i dah terbuat lubang besar so kenalah bubuh brooch;) Huishhh tak senang rupanya nak menjahit sakit pinggang i semalam:) Salute to all Tailors:)

The Humidifier - Goal brand,quite good,the mist  is really nice....

Until ada orang hantar doll dia spa kat atas benda ni:) Sebab i tak pernah pakai Humidifier ni walaupun i rasa kebanyakan rumah ada- i rasa it is really good  sebab sebelum ni kalau  malam2 kat bilik pasang air cond i rasa kulit muka i tight kalau tak letak moisturiser but since yesterday rasa lembut dan moist kulit muka...kahhh kahhh tu baru dua hari pakai tu;) 

Yesterday with the new kaftan proudly tailored by me the girls blew the candles for don't know how many times already he he..buatlah jugak sebab yesterday 24/6 was the actual birthday- bukan susah pun beli 2 slice cake Secret Recipe jer, pun  boleh jadi dessert mama after bukak puasa;)

This morning i went to office at 7.30 am! Awal gila lah to me:) and i wore the new corporate shirt- tapi bukanlah i sendiri yang jahit- nama tailor tu Giveinchy( not the real Givenchy) ka apa tah,datang ukur kat opis;);) and tanya- ' mau fit ka tada mau fit?" I cakap mau yang kalau makan tada payah tahan nafas punya:);)

Awal sebab nak menunggu dan meraikan VIPs datang nak launch a workshop- pagi2 tu they menjamu selera kat Cafe office- i pulak bertarung dengan perasaan- is it proper to puasa while meraikan orang? semua orang makan,kita duduk jer tengok- but i bertekad to puasa dari semalam In Sha Allah membawak ke Ramadhan - So Alhamdulillah tak ada lah masalah dan semua tetamu pun lelaki-dia tak heran pun lah kita tak makan- sedap ajer selera dia orang:)

Alhamdulillah sekali lagi- dapat berbuka puasa dalam cuaca sejuk petang ini dengan kuah rojak power dari Beserah- hujan lebat yang penuh makna- Terima Kasih Allah dan Terima Kasih semua.

p.s Miss Cloudy yang tanya why use Expedia- kalau kita dah last mins nak book hotel macam hari ni pukul 6.00 kita nak book tapi nak pergi esok most of the popular hotel mesti lah fully booked.Expedia is overseas website- normally hotel akan allocate few rooms to this website atas nama kerjasama- sebab dia website oversea dan kadang2 tak di gunakan until last minutes adalah kosong:) Kalau lah hotel tu kosong boleh book terus buat apalah akak susah2 nak book through website jauh2:);)

To those staying in Kuantan- we shall be back and In sha Allah panjang umur boleh bertemu di TC!

Birthday get away at Hyatt Regency Resort,Telok Chempedak,Kuantan.

We went to Kuantan-it was a last minute changed of plan after PD was hit by a bad haze.Now we are already back from Kuantan- Alhamdulillah, biar pun berjerebu in KL but it is still home sweet home;) We had a wonderful time at Hyatt,the staff was wonderful,the food was good and the beach was awesome.A few have asked me to give reviews about Hyatt, so i am going to share some stories and pictures here.

We departed early in morning with hotdog from Shell station to fill tummy for second breakfast.

The girls were excited as they had been asking "what is the surprise for my birthday? is it the double-decker,is it the kittens,is it this? is it that?..." :):)

It was a 250 km journey and we had to entertain ourselves:) and snapping self photos was one of it:)

and we stopped at R&R for ikan patin- the papa loves it:) i dont eat ikan patin- i tak makan ikan tak ada sisik sikit2 tu boleh lah:) according to papa it was so good tak ada bau lumpur:)

Sebab excited journey yang jauh pun jadi cepat- in no time we reached Kuantan town:) There's a new 5 star hotel i.e The Zenith which received good reviews at Trip advisor.

It was a 250 km drive to bring you this beautiful birthday present:)

Beach outside the window with awesome view- we booked King Seaview (which turned out to be twin because the rooms were fully booked) through Expedia from a website in Italy called Venere,it costed us RM545 plus tax, without breakfast and chargeable wifi. That's the best deal that you can get when you book less than 24 hrs before going:);) If you manage to get the ground floor for Seaview you can run directly to the sea from your room- however less privacy as there will be noises from the pool and people walking outside your door.

The room at Hyatt was not impeccable, it was a bit worn and aged but  normal for a building situated that near to the beach. The new wing has better rooms, if you book early you can choose to stay either at the Club seaview or suite and it will cost you RM600 above.

But we have no complaint- the bed and pillow were very comfortable, room was not as big as Shang in Sydney but enough for us.

The most important the staff at Hyatt No1- they earned 10/10 rating from us- they are well trained and very nice to you- sedia melayan apa saja yang kita nak which is quite rare in Malaysia:)

Without delay after dah settle few things we went down to let the girls enjoy their birthday present.The weather was good on Saturday no haze yet.

There were many mat salleh during our stay- i think like 3/4 of people there were them.

The girls enjoyed themselves very much as they love swimming in the sea:)

We are glad that they love their birthday present:)

The water was clean with slightly strong waves.

A clear warm water- very nice to just sit in the water and let the wave carry you:)

After the 3 hrs dip in the ocean we went to the swimming pool which looked like a pool in LA:)

The girls made a new friend;)

After dah kecut seluruh badan and tangan macam raisin we went up and i ve ordered pre dinner- the carbonara was so good that the girls finished it until the last string:)

I ve booked dinner at Coals on the beach for us and arranged a surprise cake- Hyatt provides you free birthday cake if you inform them during check in:)

Tia had flower from the room service vase in her hair.

After Maghrib we went down for dinner.

My girl is not a baby anymore:(

But the girls malu pulak bila ada orang serenade song kat situ- it was a nice malay group- makcik dan pakcik nyanyi lagu and for diners and terus nyanyi kan dia orang happy birthday song:)

The bbq seafood was quite pricey here but ada rasa lah- this seafood mixed costed RM90 tapi ada lobster.

Mine was grilled portobello and shitake mushroom and it costed me RM45.

When you order one main course you ll have limited access to the salad bar- the salad bar was good macam2  ada including cold pastas and beef cuts- next time kena order one main course ajer and hit the salad bar after that:)

The birthday girls dah makan carbonara pun lapar lagi- Mia had pizza from the kids menu and Tia ordered chicken chop- semua food boleh tahan sedapnya. Untuk panduan pizza for kids cost you Rm11.00 only while chicken chop was RM14.00.

After dinner we ronda2 around the resort.

and the girls were so happy dapat lollipop- actually lollipop came with the chicken chop order but they so nice tengok ada sorang lagi tak dapat they pun bawak kan satu lagi.

Balik bilik tengok ada satu box menanti and tadaaaa dalam ada cute cake;) They dah terbagi kita orang 2 cake- rezki lah jawabnya:)

After a good night sleep we woke up to this wonderful view.

Pfuhhh termenung secara gangster lagi:)

After berendam dlm bathtub we  went to look for the famous Halal Hoi Yin curry noodles- semua orang cakap kena makan ni:) so kita pun carik.

The old shop was next to the Thai Spa.

Shop yang lama ni sentiasa penuh berderet orang tunggu luar nak tapau- we were lucky to have a table- operating hours 7.00 - 12.00 only.

lama lah jugak kena menunggu finally sampai lah mee kari yang pemes ini:)

Rasanya memang sedap, kuah tak berminyak sangat dan tak terlalu pekat- not too hot,ada sambal asing,bahan2 pulak semua fresh.

For a hungry tummy on holiday this is heaven..slurpppp you can finish til the last drop.kalau tak nak makan kat sini there's many choice sekeliling- KFC.MC D,Burger King, kopitiam and they even have tutti fruitti:)

But tak lah bermakna you tak boleh buat kat rumah- i selalunya buat mee curry guna "Tean" ready made paste- rasa nya tak jauh lari dari ni or i rasa nicer actually:):)

After buying few things at the nearby souvenir shop we pun ke pantai lagi.

By this time haze was quite bad.

The girls had their last bonding with the sea.

After the last dip in the swimming pool we went to look for ikan bilis,masin etc utk stok puasa.

Walaupun orang cakap pergi Tanjung Lumpur etc but i like this place yang my husband always bawak whenever we pass kuantan- it was a buruk shop in Beserah- not far from dewan serbaguna beserah, nampak buruk tapi dalam ada proper cold room and they jual export quality bahan2 dari laut.

Ikan bilis, ikan kering,udang memang semua cantik kat sini,segar sebab duduk dalam cold room.

By the time balik kat Karak- haze dah teruk:( so scary mengenang kan future kalau alam sekitar buruk macam ni:(

Balik ke KL yang berjerebu teruk KLCC pun dah tak nampak- but we still happy at home sweet home- singgah Ayamas beli golden roast, buat nasi ayam guna ready made bahan terus lah dapat makan nasi ayam for dinner.

Alhamdulillah at home sweet home- Uwan tak ada berjalan ke rumah paktih di rembau,harap2 rembau tak teruk sangat jerebunya.

Itu lah cerita weekend- esok is the real birthday actually- and we already have cake from the hotel nak bawak to kindy tomorrow- teacher said all of you have to stay indoor okay.
