Makeover without burning My Little Purse

Mama realised that mama has neglected our present house due to preparation and buying things for the new house.That shouldn't be the case but it is not easy to juggle the budget to buy things and maintain 2 houses. Lately we need to spend substantial amount of money on things that we couldn't avoid.. your school fees for Shichida and kindy,papa dah jual his old BMW and we are in the process to get a new car ..macam2lah expenses..but mama still nak deco2 the house..so mama has opted for budget deco..budget but still nice.Mama started with looking around the house to see which small thing can be changed that can give a big and nice effect and mama checked our storeroom to see what can be use and utilised.



Mama put back the "liplap lights" around the cabinet,it gives immediate festive feeling, mama bought the lights last year from jusco home centre for Rm4.99 each,they are still in good condition.

This is mama favourite clock, mama bought in Tokyo in 2007 while you were stilled in mama's tummy..so this clock has been given a touch up.

This nice ready made curtain which match our yellow tone at your play area is RM29.00 only,the material is very thick and heavy and it falls nicely.

The nice curtain is for uwan and heni's room.

Mama decided to change our daily mugs too and mama bought this colourful mugs for Rm0.99 each from Giant... if heni breaks the mug mama shall have no regrets.

This sweet and elegant look Queensize bedsheet set is from jusco,they are 100% cotton, very smooth and cold,it cost mama RM49.00 only and mama bought a few sets.

Mama found a big bag in the storeroom full with things mama bought from switzerland and heidelberg,germany from mama's last trip with papa in 2008.The above item is napkin rack.

The cute gold plated bell was euro 9.00 only,mama will place next to other bell collection that mama has.

This is a handpainted gold trim wall plate mama bought from Luzerne,Switzerland.

One of the souvenior plate mama bought from Heidelberg,Germany.

This small handcrafted pewter from Heidelberg is quite expensive,they are heirloom.

They are price at Euro 30.00 each which roughly about RM144.00 but for a palm size pewter mama now rasa a bit mahal.

A sweet handmade glove and table cloth set from Heidelberg.

This is quite an old paper table runner mama bought long time ago from one of bookshop in London.

A very nice tassles from Florence, mama will hang it to each end of our tapestry.

Jumpa most important thing and main purpose masa pergi Switzerland dulu nak obtain this scroll la..now dah dapat tak frame kan lagi until today..mama punya penat and jerih nak habiskan MBA ni..mama will frame it without any delay lagi.

The RM49.00 ikea floor light become nicer and more romantic when mama adds the beautiful flower wreath given by auntie nerry.

Since we have rearranged our master bedroom it becomes more spacious now so papa have decided to put a small work station in the room.We went to find cheap furniture at ikea yesterday and we found a dining set comprising of one glass table and four chairs for RM195.00.We brought back the set and we turn the table into workstation in the room for papa.

Now papa can do his work in the room..no need to go down to the study room but ofcourse after the superactive girls dah lena lah...

The weakness of having workstation in the room plus the cosy bed and tv is..just a few minutes spent at the table the rest papa spent with this Tiger man and snoozing in the comfortable RM49.00 bedset..

Overall mama is very happy with the spending mostly below RM100..ye ke.. ye la:)
