"Amboi cincin cheq brapa carat ni cheq?"

Salam;) Hope all of you had a good weekend:) and esok Monday!!! Ayaya:)

Before I start with cerita ceriti, first of all Alhamdulillah and tahniah to Liza, mesti lah akak ingat:) Liza mintak doakan dulu and akak said 'kita sama2 doa" May your pregnancy di permudahkan Allah Sbt,sangat seronok kan:) And to the rest which have posted some questions so sorry if i miss it;( I was actually quite busy these past few weeks, i read all comments but missed some questions maybe.Anyway to sis yang tanya mana Aminah resort tu..dekat kampung parit after ampang tinggi, bukan resort betul,,we called resort to get the feeling only:),to Ann Huzi, i dah tanya Pashik about the painting,Pashik happy ada org apperciate his painting but he can't really paint or draw now as that one yang you suka tu pun  took  him 3 or 4 years to finish..he he lebih lama dari buat rumah tau Ann..Pashik is a perfectionist furthermore now dia byk lah activity tajwid,tadarus plus kena bawak mashik jogging,brisk walking in the evening sebab mashik tak berapa sihat.Pada yang tanya kedai periuk kat kuala pilah tu,it is exactly next to kedai rojak kat pasar yang nak naik bukit tu..kalau you nampak tak ada tutup lah tu.

Minggu ni macam2 lah buat:) but before i forgot..sorry kacau2 you all in the last entry ya....i am honoured ramai jugak yg berminat nak register, i received the same response at FB..hmm doakan i dapat buat rumah idaman ye..ada dapur luas at the backyard with chicken coops and kolam kangkung;):)

Friday after office i went to Muhibbah near penchala link to meet my old friend from Uni yang nak pergi Mekah..Alhamdulillah.This lady was my laandlord during my final year,she anak orang berada,final year tak boleh duduk kolej bapak dia pun belikan satu apartment,me and my friend pun menumpang lah menyewa situ:) But she very humble and pandai berhemah..sepatutnya kita 3 orang lah kat Muhibbah tu nak makan,tunggu punya tunggu..sampai pukul berapa tah another friend yang nak datang tu..sesat sampai ke sg buluh and mana2 tah...

Kesian dia..she ended up at Curve area..so we asked her to park her car at Burger King next to Petronas and two of us packed the food we have ordered baru makan separuh  and we drove to Burger King to meet her.Ini lah istimewanya bestfriend,they all ni pun walau tak jumpa selalu but if i am in need or any of my family member masuk hospital,sakit etc they will the first to attend to it.So we makan onion rings lah pulak walaupun dalam kereta my friend ada steam siakap,kerapu pucuk paku etc etc.

Seronok sungguh kalau dah lama tak jumpa..and this is the first time i keluar malam without my hb after 5 yrs gave birth to the girls:) seronok2 cerita pun asyik teringat rumah jugak:):)

And i love this picture..see how kepoh my friend checking my anniversary ring..he he she said "Amboi cincin cheq brapa carat ni cheq?" ha ha...these two are simple people despite their status..sorang duduk rumah berpuluh juta pemberian arwah father dia di Damansara height,sorang lagi ni hold big and important post in government but  still perangai loklak,merendah diri..pakai baju kurung cotton..actually we still sama macam we dulu2 makan di dining hall,share maggi di college,nangis2 nak exam etc.All in all we had a very wonderful outing..must do it again soon:):).

Saturday..i cooked Nasi Dagang again he..he this time tambah improved,nasi lagi lemak ber krim kesukaan ramai;)

Saturday morning memang jarang breakfast kat luar sebab nanti nak pergi piano class dan uwan tinggal..so kena spend time with her in the morning lama2 sikit.

After piano class we went to see kak ikin at her stall in Mont Kiara Solaris,she received very good response on her black and white photos.Ada orang tawarkan contract for her to take photos for Petronas.tapi kak ikin tak boleh handle lagi.All those pictures yang dia jual tu she and hubby took went they visit Paris last time..so setiap gambar ada cerita:):) Pada yang tanya next week ada lagi tak..flea market ni kadang2 once a month only depends on the organizer bukan macam kat Curve yang ada everyweek.

Today pulak we,uwan,my sister and later pashik went to Lake garden for breakfast.

The girls had fun running between the trees,they always love park.

Bukanlah exercise sangat pun makan macam2,gossip macam2..he he but it was fun:):)

Sweet picture of pashik and Uwan:) Pashik nak bawak balik daun kering tu nak buat art work..kalau buang isi daun tu tinggalkan rangka bagi yang creative macam2 boleh buat termasuk menulis huruf khat atasnya;)

We went back home and after lunch i was so tired but the girls sibuk tuntut janji nak buat chocolate cake;) so bangun lah buat sebijik:)

Before that nak tunjuk my new gadget in the kitchen,..cereal dispenser..cool kan macam kat hotel and the girls love it..tengok tu kejap jer koko crunch dah nak habis..and the container is air tight.

While waiting for cake to cook i buat bee hoon singapore for tea.

Then cake siap with glaze and chocolate shavings.

Walaupun naik tinggi skit kat atas tapi tetap sinful;)

Dah makan banyak nak exercise my treadmills rosak pulak..dah lama rosak ni nasib baik masih ada nama dlm record fitness concept so technician will come this week to fix.

jadi exercise basuh kereta ajer lah yer:)

Cewahhh uwan sonyum ajo lopeh makan bee hoon dan cake;)

Night time another gadget came out..dah beli berbulan ni..i memang kitchen gadget freak..handphone tak tukar biarlah..tapi tiap minggu or bulan ada ajer benda utk dapur.

Result...tadaaa a gorgeous lamb chop sangat easy nak masak..flip flap..dua2 belah pun masak cantik;)

Malam ni keluarkan petit music boxes we bought from Paris..melayan kenangan..sedap music dia,ada lagu i love paris,ler mer..tapi kena pusing lah:)

This girl dah boleh baca buku cerita sendiri..suka dia,,adik dah tergolek tidur:) Alhamdulillah dah dapat and confirm ustazah untuk mengajar Iqraq di rumah..mama pun kena belajar sekali lah nampaknya..okay lah everybody..gud night and sleep tight..Ta Taaaa;):)

Baking@My Home is open for Registration!

Hullooooo....my first ever Baking@My Home with me will be open for registration starting from today! The class will be conducted in my own little kitchen,kindly provide your short name with a cute picture so that we can customise your apron! You ll be delighted to see the The Pink Apron with name and your cute picture embossed on it:)

The first two recipes will be : Dark Chocolate Chewy and Muddy Brownies and Golden  Brown Buttery Banana Tea Cake. Before that please take not this is  not a  serious,professional recipes,it is just 'easy to bake by normal people' type of recipes..we don't want to stress our heads in the kitchen will all the unnecessary details like separating the egg yolks etc etc:):)

The Class will start in the morning while your mood and body is still gorgeous) I will provide you sumptious breakfast and for the first upcoming class we will have a) Golden honey soft and buttery pancakes with maple syrup, cream and strawberries b) Steam nasi lemak with big prawn sambal, soft eggs,homemade pan fried chillies paru plus the lots of Zuchinni, fried anchovies and Prawn Crackers.

Please come with your most comfortable clothes that will make you feel good  as at the end of the session we will have a small brunch in the garden with cakes and some freshly cooked kerang kueyteow or Mee Hailam with soft beef,lots of gravy,fresh fishballs and fishcakes. Please also take note that i ll be arranging a personal masseur to come to give us a warm feet bath in rose petal tub plus a nice 20 mins neck massage.

We will have two new recipes for every week with a different breakafst and garden activities..we may have a personal tutorial on make up / shawl or even a gossip session or a short shopping trip!

At the end of each month the class will have  Girl Outing Day whereby we can book a Gold Class/Premium seat to see Girls's movies . The Gold/Premium class will provide us with warm blanket,popcorn and sandwiches. Alternately we may have a high tea at 5 star hotel or sing our hearts at The Red Box!

So ladies don't wait ,Register Now..this is not a mere Baking Class but it is more a "Desperate To Bake House/Working Women  Exclusive Club" ..we can do anything that we ve been dreaming to do with our gilfriends here at 'Baking@MyHome"

For Real???? Hoax???...Ha ha ..Tipu laaaa...how i wish i could do that kind of advertisement in the near future:) But seriously will you be interested? Hmmm may be i ll go and pitch my idea at Travel and Living first!

Those asking about Ikin's Gerai at Solaris Mont Kiara Flea Market on this coming Saturday- Her stall will be No 5, i ll be putting some of my stuffs there too..she' ll be coming over to pick up my pregnant Laura Ashley dresses, some ZARA Tops,Tia Mia's gowns,legging  etc etc tonight! I ll be there inshAllah ...tak lah menjual nak mengabiskan duit ajer:):)The market will start from 12 pm- 9pm.

Salam! I couldn't agree more on the above statement,Ibnu Maqaffa is brilliant! I got this from a fb's friend wall..this friend mengeluh pasal orang asyik mencemuh dia kurus,she said it's okay if the comment is sincere and not too much but if it is too harsh,too personal..she couldn't take it anymore.Kurus pun susah apatah lagi gemuk..semua nya jadi cemuhan..so Ibnu Maqaffa you are so right kalau golongan itu tidak berakal,tidak beradab,tidak terpilih mustahil saja lah dia nak berpuas hati dengan apa pun yang kita laku kan..untuk menjadi beradab perlu ada akal dan untuk jadi golongan terpilih perlu ada keduanya..kalau akal tidak digunakan, tidak tahu membezakan mana yang boleh di komen atau tidak, tempat mana patut di utarakan pendapat dan nasihat tentu saja lah tidak berakal jawabnya:);)

 

To those asking about my kotak-kotak table cloth..yeahhh Saya Pencinta si Kotak-Kotak!Where to get? This small kotak-kotak i bought from a small shop in Kuala Pilah and it was priced at RM5.50 per meter,i think it is normally used for sarung bantal.I cut and hand sewed myself..tak kemas pun tapi boleh lah pakai for outdoor use. These pastries from Deli France somehow reminds me of you Mazni (GFE)....your blog represent Spring and all things warm,sweet and nice;)

 

And this big kotak-kotak i bought from a small ID shop outside KD Giant,it was priced at RM19.90:):) I keep all my outdoor tablecloth in my kitchen drawer so it will be easier to take whenever I want to use it.The slides from Little Tikes behind Tia was stolen when we put it outside the gate during Uwan's kenduri kesyukuran..tak boleh compute macam mana orang boleh curi slides..hee hee..as replacement the girls got their cubby house now:)

 

Ahaaa saya memang gila kan si kotak-kotak..tempat letak asam garam pun beralas si kotak-kotak dulu..This this the plastic type bought for RM8.90 from local store.It was in a big piece and i cut into small pieces according to the rack measurement.

 

Huhhh kotak2 lagi..he he this is from ID shop outside KD Giant too..it was sold during Chirtmas and that is why is has a Christmas look a bit;)This is for a round table with good quality cotton so it was sold for RM29.90 .

 

The craziness for kotak2 travel to Uwan's kampung too..when i shop for her house in Kuala Pilah i look for kotak2 things too:) I got this nice small green kotak2 tablecloth in a small indian shop in Kuala Pilah and it was priced at RM15.00 setelah i menawar gila2 kat Indian tu:)

 

Ha ha uwan's kitchen cannot escape from kotak-kotak too..she got nice small kotak-kotak as curtain and cabinet cover,the material was from Kuala Pilah,it was a good cotton with 'licin' surface,price at RM8.90 per meter, and we needed few meters only,with a cheap sewing cost in Kuala Pilah we can have this nice rambu ramba kotak for less than RM30!

 

Anyway my love for kotak-kotak bukanlah sepanjang masa..kadang2 tukar jugak..now i got few pieces which i bought from France and Geneva and they all have Olive,Lavender and Lemon theme..i always love tablecloth,they play important role in my house plus Uwan's house:) The tablecloth in the picture was bought at BritishHomes before they were closed down,it was priced at RM69.90 but the quality is really good, it has double material.

 

Beside kotak-kotak i love stripes too..cheap or expensive as long as they are nice and comfortable.The wallpaper,curtain and cushion covers are all from BritishHomes but the lampshade is from Romantika and the RM19.90 green throw was from non other than Ikea;)

 

Really crazy about kotak-kotak kan..until my office's sofa is also kotak-kotak! Ha ha it was not easy to get this sofa as the office normally buy the plain leather or vinyl types of sofa. This one was bought for shooting purposes after they re done with the shooting it was left at the storeroom, i saw it and asked the management services for it. And I gave up my entitlement to buy new plain jane sofa;);) But the two girls in this picture were too much kan..they had 'holiday' in my room! So my office doesn't have shiny new furnitures, they are all old and worn from the  storeroom but i love them as it brings colours and life into the boring,typical type office environment:)

To RP who has commented about Mr Sherlock Holmes being sweet to his daughters:) Alhamdulillah my Sherlock Holmes is a very doting father,he loves the girls very much;) Oneday he was talking to a friend and i heard he said "  In fact they are the reason for living in this world!" Even it is very sweet but i pura2 marah!!! I said ' how about me? how about me? I am not the reason?I am not? How could you????..ha ha mengada-ngada kan...anyway he is very fair..in the morning three of us will receive sweet warm kisses from him on our cheeks.Yeayyyy!! So RP enjoy your time with your nieces and when the time comes i wish a wonderful and bless moments with your own kids..they are a blessing from Allah Sbt that strengthen bonds between you and you wife plus you dont have to wait for rain to see rainbows..they re everywhrere, in your bedroom,kitchen,living room,wallet,car..etec etc..but sometimes it is a bit too much that it glares you eyes into Incredible Hulk!!! ha haaaa..

 

Because of that i love Mr Sherlock Holmes Si Rambut Uban...

Who is Si Pipi Labuh??? ha ha my cucu lah..i dah ada cucu tau..cucu sedara..and salah sorang yang sangat sayang this Si Pipi Labuh dan kening Najib ni! masa mak dia masuk ICU kena denggi..i pi lah jumpa dia kat rumah sedih betul masa tu..asyik duduk kat riba i ajer..anyway Si Pipi Labuh ni tak lah jauh pun duduk ,dalam KD jugak.

 

It seems there's so many thing that i like and love..since today is still puasa i teringat my Omellete ..i love telur dadar with tomatoes on top..yummy:)

 

Ini cinta sejati tau..ishhh, Ateh kalau datang KL tolong beli ni kat tepi jalan kat Rembau tu okay:):) sangat marbeles yang kat situ:) cukup tua,segar pulak tu..bila makan tup tup bunyi dia,..ha haaa:);)

 

And To Peminat blog Ikin yang tanya' nape dia tak update blog"? he he so sweet lah you all..si budak Ikin ni sangat busy,ni final year dia buat Master dalam Computer Science..dah tu tolong husband run their restaurant " SateOri Mexican Grill" kat Shah Alam..sebab dua2 masih kerja dengan badan korporat maka tak menang tangan lah both..kesian dia.Anyway this coming weekend she's gonna open a stall at Mont Kiara Flea Market..i pun nak tumpang jual barang2 lah..sampai nak roboh wardrobe dah:):)

 

Almari nak roboh but we keep buying..aduhh..he he these two senyum manis dah dapat their first online order yang they buat with Kak yan hari tu..skirt from Cottonon Online..cantik kan priced at SGD5.00 only..free shipping pulak tu:):) Psstt the swimming suit yang they pakai kat dalam tu i beli online jugak..he he..cantik kan;):)

Kalau bukak topic kau lelaki dan aku wanita ni..memang macam2 feedback kan:) Moga semua yang terbaik untuk semua orang; berpasangan atau tidak yang pertama perlu di buat hargai diri sendiri dulu..kalau telah meletakkan diri di tempat yang betul baru lah kita melihat semua yang betul di kelilingi kita. Sebab bak kata orang mana boleh nak bahagia 24 jam kan..kita manusia mestilah ada gelora dan guruh di dalam hati..itu lumrah..yang penting cara mengawalnya..you doa well,control well,InshAllah you live well.

 

Semalam balik office penat..macam2 kat office tapi terasa nak sangat nak baking. When a little something not important is bothering you focus on doing  something more important.A simple thing like baking or cooking which can bring smile to everybody's face will eliminate the little something in your heart:)

 

Last night after bukak puasa etc i relax for few mins then i buat wholemeal bread pudding..lain sikit dari yang selalu buat tu.Untuk these two small baking casseroles i used 4 slices of Massimo wholemeal bread,shred finely and put in a bowl.In a separate bowl i beat 1 egg,add a cup of evaporated milk, 1 spoon of vanilla,2 spoonfulls of condensed milk and a pinch of cinnamon powder,mix well with the shreded bread.Grease your casserole dish well with butter or magarine and leave a spoon of butter/magarine at the base for a better taste.

 

Pre heat your oven at 180 degrees...after 10 mins you can put in your bread pudding.

 

Tadaaaa.. gorgeous kan.. i love the colour and the texture too..unlike the version which i always made whereby the bread pudding was slightly cripsy on top and i added raisin, this one is a soft and creamy version.

 

Smells heavenly too..the combination of vanilla,planta and cinnamon powder was just intoxicating:)

 

Serve it with a warm evaporated milk..so sedappp:) This is my own recipe..setiap orang ada recipe yang tersendiri..sebab dulu ada yang comment kat fb 'ishh lain pulak cara bread pudding dia:):)" I suka bread pudding selain my hb's favourite it is a very simple dessert to make as you just need to use  ingredient which you can find in your fridge or kitchen cabinet:)

 

Worth every effort to serve these lovely and sweet people:)

 

Ada yang mintak recipe sponge cake kan..terus lah i teringat belajar kat ICCA dulu with my sister,niece and best friend..kenangan manis..sangat seronok:)

 

Macam2 cake kita orang buat..hiasan pulak apa yang teragak ajer:)

Untuk sponge cake better use the pan with hole in the middle sebab baru senang masak and sekata tapi sebab kat rumah tak der acuan ni..i guna ajer yang biasa.

I decided to share the proper recipe,yang i buat hari tu tak ikut aturan sangat sebab nak cepat,i didn't separate the eggs yolk..so the texture was too fine, the correct method is as follows:

200 grms floor

1 tablespoon baking powder

200 g butter at room temperature

200g sugar

4 eggs

Pre heat oven at 180,grease pan and paper with butter.Separate eggs white and yolk, sieve flour and baking powder.Beat  butter for a while,add sugar and continue beating.Add egg yolks one at a time,beat everytime you add in the eggs,add vanilla. Beat white eggs in separate bowl until it forms a stiff peak, add in egg white in butter, slowly add in the flour by folding it carefully with the mixture.Spread evenly in a pan and bake for 30 - 40 mins.

Selamat mencuba.And untuk yang bertanya recipe tea including Annhuzi..i kena mintak kebenaran dari Rose ya..the simple method i used was to boil the tea leaves ( used Boh as i couldn't find the three types of tea as recommended by rose), add in few cardamom(buah pelaga),few slices of ginger, 2 cengkih,1 kulit kayu manis and 2 helai daun pandan di potong..simmer for at least 10 mins, tapis dalam bekas,tambah evaporated milk and condensed milk ( i gagal ikut recipe Rose sepenuhnya..sebab tak semua barang ada)..then tarik..alhamdulillah sangat nice..i think if follow the exact steps taught by Rose it will be nicer:)

 

 And hu hu.. happy mode.. i dah order JM for Hari Raya Haji:):) tapi pre order mesti lambat dapat:(
