My Love Promise To You - 10 Good Years Together!

Alhamdulillah,Jumaat yang barakah:) 

Today is a special day to me:) A man called husband renewed his promise - "My Love Promise To You".10 years ago at exactly at 3.40pm in my house in front of my family he made his vow:) Now after 10 years we have 2 cheeky girls, they are 5 now:) he's renewing it again. When Tia asked this morning ' was i at your wedding last time? i said ' no you were not even in my tummy!" Then she said "was i alone in your tummy?" I told her "No darling,Allah SWT loves us very much,while  people normally carry only one baby in the tummy,Allah put 2 in my tummy,and forever we should thank Allah SWT for that".

This morning was a lil bit of drama:) Husband woke up at 1.00 am to do his paper works,as it has passed midnight already and he didn't wish me "happy anniversary' i was a bit merajuk,so i slept til morning.Early morning i woke up,i opened the closet slowly to take out a card i bought for him,i have yet write anything on it.I tried to be as slow as i can but something fell down and he opened his eyes,i quickly put the card among the girls's drawing on the table and dashed to the bathroom,i closed the door.While i was sitting in the toilet,he came in and wished me "Happy Anniversary dear!" what a romantic place to receive an anniversary wish!!.I showed my tongue to him,after i finish my prayer i went down to prepare little special breakfast for him,after his subuh he followed me in the kitchen with his card and kisses.. my merajuk gone with the wind:):) That's us..after 10 years we still like 'budak2' sometimes- years to years we still feel like just married:):)

Today after office i rushed back home-no big celebration,didn't invite anybody but as always pashik always sudi datang with his doa;) Alhamdulillah-this is the true happiness.

We doa together,thank you Allah,again and again and again...

Thank You Allah for allowing that special lady to be with me until now..

We lit the candles for fun- 4 candles represent papa,mama and tia,mia.

For this special occasion i took out my "Lemon&Olive" from Royal Doulton.

I love this set very much, my friend ita shipped it for me from UK.

I thought of using it when i have new house with large backyard,lemon tree and blue french kitchen but my happiness is now-without the big backyard i am already happy,so let's use it.

My food- i cooked everything except the chicken as it bought the ready grilled chicken.Alhamdulillah i managed to prepare everything in 1 hour.

I heated up the chicken in oven and added the veges.

i made special crab with egg for my husband and mom.

Gulai ikan masin with petai for pashik.

This is the meaning of life and love.

We had good dinner together,so happy to see people eating,i forgot that i was puasa,i was so busy cutting chicken for everybody that i ended eating at nearly 8.00pm:)

I love the tea set too- not with the same pattern but nicely color coordinated.

From Dusk Til Dawn!

"Kukkkk kukkkkk..ayam berkokok..saya pun memanjangkan kaki di birai katil,menyanggul rambut,mengerling kepada suami dan anak2 yang masih lena di ulit mimpi.. saya menyeka bibir mungil bak delima merekah yang barangkali tersenyum meleret di dalam tidur...hmmm alangkah seronoknya kalau masih dapat bergolek-golek di tilam empuk.." ..haaa..haaaa...that's how most malay novel starts their wake up in the morning story!

Reality check! No romantic kukkkk..kukkk from the red rooster ya:) It was just "kringggggg...kringggg..Allahuakbar Allahuakbar.. i tossed my blanket,dashed to toilet! may my blanket not turn to pig skin! heee...heee. that's how the morning was:):)May us a working woman or a fulled time housewife we have our routines to follow.It is all started in the morning- positive or negative vibes? If we set it to be positive..pounding chili in early morning to make nasi goreng can be fun:):) really?? most of us say 'neyhhhh...you must be kidding!" Show off ajer lebih ni...nak tunjuk isteri mithali:):) Well..a girl got to do what a girl got to do:):) While a boy got to do what a  girl told him to do!..Yeahhh that's the fun part:):)

So this was the breakfast plate for uwan today:) She has petite chicken pie, pulut panggang and telur mata (her favourite), while i kick and punch in the kitchen in early morning i arranged her to sit in the garden with breakfast:) That what most mom did when we were small isn't it?..they worked in the kitchen and we played..so now it is time for us to let them relax and enjoy their golden time:);)

Beauty in the garden.Some asked what flowers do i have in my garden? What are the low maintenance plants? I have many of this type ,the are called "perennial" as they can only live up to 3 - 6 months.These are the 3 for RM10 from most nursery. They are many bright colors such as shocking pink,dark orange,deep purple. To ensure it lives up to 3 - 6 months,once you bring back home transfer it in a bigger pot,i normally plant it in the long row planter box.The long row planter's box can take up 3 or 4 plants and if you mix the colors it will look beautiful. Mix the black and red soil,put some fertilizer far from the plant base. Don't water too much and not let it goes dry too:);)

This is the 'pura pura malu" flower- pagi tak malu,tersenyum and bukak semua kuntum petang bila tak ada sun it will close it petals and you have to wait for the next day to see it smiling again.This is the cheap,low maintenance type too,planting method is same as the above.

It is always serene and peaceful to have flowers in your garden.I cannot imagine living in a house without flowers:):) It doesn't have to be the expensive type and you need to have bungalow lot or at least semi d to plant flowers.Consistency,discipline are the most important in whatever you are doing.It cannot be 'hangat hangat taik ayam"..kalau hangat taik ayam,taik ayam ajer lah yang dapat:):)

Okay the end to drama bibir mungil and taik ayam:) dah terlambat sikit i had to wear my un iron Bokitta to office- see all the creases:):) (Hi Fairy Lily Putih) That's how Bokitta looked on me today, the front is not long enough for me:):) Well i still love my lilit shawl lah..right Artlover? the lilit2 is better kan:);) Having said that this one is very convenience kalau pi shopping masuk dalam fitting room,you just tarik keluar no pin at all.This is proven today when i managed to try 8 pieces at M&S and ZARA..cabut,letak so easy:);) 

Today; during lunch time when i sent the girls back home i told uwan to 'gentel' puteri mandi,so that when i come back from office i can cook straight away.Uwan was happy with the'little task' orang dah lama tak masak kan.So i came back uwan and the girls already gentle two trays of glutinous rice flour..so senang lah kerja i...masak kuah,taruk durian and masukkan the ball. Dah masak,the 3 sat in the kitchen eating and entertaining me while cook lauk for buka puasa.

This is another type of puteri mandi where you can add in 'tepung mata ikan"..my girls love it very much.

I ve been thinking to eat 'sup ikan merah' since morning at office..so i cooked it for bukak puasa:):)

I also cooked 'tumis timun air" my husband's favorite.

While for uwan i prepared her all time favorite- santan durian mentah' untuk lauk nasi:)

Alhamdullillah today is my 3rd day of puasa in Rejab.While waiting for Isyak i snapped this photo for the sake of those asking about this 'telekung sulam".To Julie- i beli online from "www.TelekungOnline.com. it is priced at RM86 including delivery.They use post laju and if you are in Malaysia you can get it in 1 day,the material is a high quality cotton,they are soft and not too heavy,the head part is double and the telekung is fulled with flowers embroidery.

I love the kain as so senang to tie..very comfortable and no hassle to tie at all.

Some asked at my page tonight how to prepare 'gooey/soft egg"? Well there's a few methods- mine is simple it is either - 1. i put very little oil in flat frying pan,low down the fire, break the egg on the pan and i cover the pan with lid,after few minutes when the bottom is hard i remove the egg and result is like in the picture.

Or i put some oil in the deep frying pan,not the flat one,low the fire,break the egg,let the bottom hard a lil bit, scoop the hot oil in the pan and pour on top of the egg,once the top turns white a bit,scoop the egg out,the result is like in the above picture. Alternatively if you are concern about the oil intake you may opt for 'poached egg, where you can boil water in the pot,low the fire,break the egg in,let  the outer part harden a bit,turn once and quickly but gently remove it to the plate;)

After dah habis bersoal jawab membagi tips..i went outside to find Tia practicing her keyboard:) It seems that we have to get piano sooner than we have planned;):)

Before going to sleep i stared at this "Pak Nasser nasi lemak" on AirAsia..wahhhh best lah naik AirAsia ada nasi lomak pegedil!"Kalau balik Kuala Pilah boleh naik AirAsia mesti i naik dah!!!! Anyway i never been on AA before always on Malaysian Hospitality:):) Ann Huzi datang lah KL naik AirAsia:):):) See ya ni June ya:)InsyAllah.

Nite,nite everybody..tomorrow lilit shawl balik lah:);) NBI i ve been to Kapas to buy the girls baju kurung for majlis doa selamat dulu and i did buy two shawls from there;):)

Bokitta,Bokitta!

Salam.(Thanks so much for all the good comments below,sisters from far and near,please accept my hug hug:);)

Yesterday while i was about to perform my Zohor prayer in my room at the office, a colleague dashed in!..she just can't wait.LOL. I was startled and asked her" Kenapa Lin?".A bit worried because she's a HR,GM..takutlah ada  apa benda yang urgent kann..She said I saw you posted your "Bokitta' in your facebook..you got it already!..let me see,let me see!!...he..hee..so there are few of us in the office including my niece are crazy about Bokitta Hijab from Lebanon:) The funny thing we are crazy over the online photos..tak cuba lagi pun..except my niece lah dia dah ada satu:):)

And that Bokitta story didn't end there..nak Maghrib..called berbunyi-bunyi..tak jawab takut apa2 urgent..jawab samalah jugak "ehh azu aku tengok Bokitta..bla..blaa give the website please etc etc".Apart from Bokitta, Office (applicable to ladies only) now di landa online shopping addiction,tiap minggu or hari ada ajer abang posto datang menghantar package followed by sengih2 on muka budak2 office.Just now bila big  HR boss sengih2 tengok i..hmmm tau dah what's on her mind..shoes online,port merion online,pots and pans online...and the list can go on and on and on:);)

Back to Bokitta..many asked me to show to them bila dah pakai..nak buat contoh etc etc...so please bear with me ..this entry has many pictures of me..it is like too much pulak..so fb friends please see it here as i am not going to post on FB:):)

This is "Bitter Chocolate".The material is 100% from cotton.Bokitta it is a 'pin less" hijab..tak payah pakai pin..dia dah siap ..seolah2 you yang lilit2 tu..they provide matching inner as well.But i used my own inner from Najjah as i like Najjah soft cotton.

Because it's cotton..i think you need to iron for the first use..nampak awning tu tak kemas sangat kan.Also Bokitta ni tak berapa panjang kat depan dia..tak labuh lah..but you can cover with additional shawl. Useful if you are in a rush..but i am a traditional girl..i still like pounding my chillies and onions to make curry rather than buying 'Berahim'..so once in a while boleh lah..i masih suka melilit sendiri sesekali..you can adjust the tightness,length etc etc.

This one is 'Leaves on Yellow"..again i was using my own 'inner' theirs from the same material. Anybody interested you may go to "Veil Art", an agent in Malaysia,the nice girl by the name of Jumiatun will entertain you.

And i bought two telekung online for my emak and me..i gave to my emak yesterday,she was delighted,  said she will wear it for Ramadhan..as for me..biasalah can't wait..Maghrib pakai dah. The material is nice,good quality cotton with embroidery  and kain pun ada tempat ikat plus i suka the shape around the face..ikut muka..sedap and kemas..they are from "Telekung online"..they send by post laju..satu hari pun sampai.

"Roses are red,voilets are blue, mine is purple,uwan's one is blue:)..Ryhmes? hee..heee tak langsung.

Anyway orang yang ada telekung voilet ni pagi tadi breakfast kat luar..nampak senyum2 suka menengok bunga:):) Asyik lah tanya bila nak puasa? kesian..when you are old there's so many that you miss..pergi surau dengan kawan2 bawak juadah,bersiap basuh langsir,jahit baju..buat kueh bahulu.

Pagi tadi makan nasi goreng kampung with telur mata lembu and drummet,dengan secawan milo..one of uwan's favourite breakfast.

Lastly this traditional mama yang suka tumbuk cili dari guna instant rempah from Berahim masih prefer her own belit2 tudung.So far my favourite is shawl from Najjah and loop shawl from ZARA.Semalam tengok Youtube Yuna membelit  IamJetfuel scarf with a collegue..kita orang cakap 'ye,ye,ye senang,senang,.." pagi cubalah dengan loop shawl ZARA ni..menjadi half ajer..yeap saya tak payah pakai pin..kat tepi tapi sebab leher terbukak kena tarik ketepi pakai satu pin..hmmm nak kena cuba lagi sampai berjaya.heee..heee;):)

1.  yeap boleh pakai ayam pencen nak buat rendang N9,rebus ayam pencen tu dulu sampai lembut,kalau ada air kelapa pun bagus rebus guna air kelapa sebab buang bau ayam pencen tu and cepat lembut..kalau dah lembut and buat rendang..rasanya sangat 'umphhhhh' sama ajar macam ayam kampung.Sebab ayam kampung ni sedap isi dia kenyal kan..ayam kampung berlari sana sini so muscle keras..ayam daging isi lembik..muscle tak der..so ayam pencen sama lerr muscle dah keras:);)

2. Where did i buy the white daybed swing? - I bought from one small furniture shop kat tepi jalan kampung kayu ara yang nak pergi bandar utama tu..tiap pagi keluar NKVE toll,shortcut kat Esso nak pi office nampak the white garden set at this shop called "Nadihah Furniture".

3.Apa software i guna kat Mac to edit picture-i guna iphoto punya editing ajer..the basic 'brightness,warm,cool tone ajer".

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has said ' Rajab is a great month of Allah (SWT), un matched by any other month in the respect and significant (accended to it) war with fidels during this month is prohibited, Verily, Rajab is Allah's month, Sha'aban my month and ramadhan the month of my Ummah;

-Whoever fasts a day in the month of rajab will be granted reward of Ridwan (an angel in Heaven); the wrath of allah (SWT) shall be distanced and door of Hell shall be closed.

- Fast for 2 days in Rajab as if fasting for 2 thousand years.

- Fast for 3 days in Rajab as if fasting for 3 thousand years.

-Fast for 7 days in Rajab all 7 gates of (Hell) Jahanam will be locked to make sure he/she stays out.

-Fast for 8 days in Rajab 8 gates of Paradise will be opened for him/her,so he or she can enter by which gate she/he chooses.

Ask forgiveness and turn repentant to Allah (SWT) as much as you can because mercy drops from the Heaven like a gentle rain in the month of Rajab (also known as "As'-abb-pouring out,full of love and kindness)

SubhanAllah Tia and Mia, this Rajab is a very special Rajab for mama:) First syukur to Allah SWT,i still alive to breath,raise and love you and we still have Uwan with us.You know how old is she now? She is going to turn 90 this 15/6/2012 not far from your birth date; 24/6/2007. Allah SWT has given us Uwan's love until now,mama feels like sitting in a gentle rain-loved and blessed.

Ya Allah  Thank You so much for whatever you have given us.Please bless us and may we live to see Ramadhan and the rest.Amin.Welcome the month of Allah!

Thank You and Thank You- When Uwan was so sick in hospital few months back,she told me that she can feel it that she is 'going' already - she said " jangan menangis, emak kan dah tua,mestilah emak akan mati jugak,bacalah Yasin dan ajarlah emak mengucap bila sampai masa".My heart was crushed, i held her hands and told her " Emak,memang yang hidup akan mati,bukan yang tua sahaja,yang muda jugak bila sampai masa.Tetapi sekiranya umur kita panjang, diizinkan Allah maka kita mintalah supaya kita sihat,diberi peluang bersama anak2 lagi..takkan emak tak nak balik rumah azu lagi? Emak kan suka duduk di luar menengok Tia Mia main?Emak kuatlah semangat,emak doa lah kuat2..Insyallah kita boleh baik  rumah".As i was saying this i pressed my hands so hard behind my back to stop my tears from falling down. Then my emak said " Kalau di beri Allah umur yang panjang mesti lah emak nak balik rumah kau,mak suka duduk kat situ,suka duduk di atas buaian di luar,tengok bunga dan Tia Mia". Ya Allah..that was the moment i shall remember forever; at that time i feel like i am the "mother' and she is my 'baby'- i need to fulfilll her wish,she wishes to be back in my home..I prayed so hard to Allah SWT- to give us the chance. Tia and Mia mama is sharing with you this story as one day when mama be old mama might not remember this moment anymore-it is a special moment between a Daughter, a Mother and their pray to Allah SWT their Creator,it was not a pray for more money,wealth but a pray to be together,to share love and kindness.

The above was picture of uwan on Sunday morning..everyday  before or after breakfast she will sit on the swing in my garden:) Alhamdulillah Azu dah bawak emak balik rumah dengan izin Allah.

I received a personal mesage from one the reader this morning ,she said " Kadang2 kalo saya rasa macam tak best atau rasa nak perbaiki diri..saya suka jengah page akak..thanks kak zu..sebab izinkan saya jadi kawan virtual akak..sedikit sebanyak..akak motivate saya dan membuat saya berani mencuba/buat sesuatu..moga kehidupan kita seharian diberkati selalu kak zu.." MasyAllah,Alhamdulillah saya pun sedang belajar..bak kata Uwan mencari ilmu sepanjang kita hidup.Cuma saya memang suka bercerita yang 'baik2'..sejak kecil di tanam cerita2 tersebut dari Uwan..rasanya tak pernah ingat cerita2 yang tak baik darinya.Tell your children good stories since they are small,they might seem like not listening to it  but it will go into their heads and be stored there..based on experience; when there are times like you feel doing something bad you will remember of whatever you mom/dad said and stored in your head,as young unmatured person you might still commit the offence but you won't go far,you ll come back and you "berhijrah' one day.

Pictures in this entry are from my Iphone:) To those asking about my new Olympus,it is not the coolest or expensive model.It was released a month ago and  called "OLYMPUS VH-510". I can't remember the exact price but it was about RM799 or less after discount,with additional accesories like screen protector ,tripod etc it costs me RM900 plus..well still under RM1K..and that was my budget;);) And please note that i have edited some photos on my Mac Air too..it was so cool to edit pictures from Mac Air..so some is not really 'raw' from Olympus but they are good enough.When i have time i will snap the picture of the camera okay..now it is hiding in my closet because Heni tends to 'hide' many gadget in our house;)

I am doing some makeover to my garden now and i am loving it:);) Our new parasol will arrive soon and i hope it will give 'holiday' ambience to my garden. I always have blooms in my garden apart from me being passionate about perenial, i know my emak and the whole family love it.We like to sit in the garden and do our activities.Yesterday my husband helped me touching up the old garden sets with new white coat..now all old items look like new! Thanks Papa:);) I am thinking about building a cubby house for the girls too..it will be too expensive to buy Little Tikes cubby house,it can fetch up to RM4K! i am scouting around and it will be our next project:) Good thing about gardening it teaches the children many many wonders and give calmness to elderly...nothing give you satisfaction more than sharing beautiful things with people you loved ..especially yang melahirkan dan membesarkan..that is the best fertilizer to your garden!

Alhamdulillah my Bokitta hijabs have arrived! Happy,happy..cant wait to try tomorrow:)

And the two telekungs i ve ordered for myself and Uwan to sambut Ramadhan have arrived too! Time flies so fast 'Ramadhan is coming!!!" Alhamdulillah Ya Allah!

Talking about how time flies so fast..i received this invitation this morning:):) Anak Dato' M.Nasir pun nak kahwin:):) Terima kasih atas undangan..kenal him lama dulu:);) Dia selalu kacau2 me with funny questions sebab i lawyer..once before Bob Lokman 'berhijrah' lagi, he asked Bob to call me on my mobile and pretend to be a layman having problem with orang nak tarik kereta..hee..hee.He even posed me with 'deep' question like "kenapa manusia di lahirkan jahat? ..they are sensitive question that if you are not 'matured' enough you will jump.But i gave him a 'deep answer' too:):)

Sempena berpuasa..i am giving my recipe to those asking about rendang ayam kampung Negeri Sembilan.Very easy maa..1,2,3 only:) But this one is without chili at all! Why? Because Tia Mia pun dah pandai makan my rendang..they said " i like to eat yellow chicken like you made in kampung during raya!" alolo sian anak mama nak makan rendang heee..heee.

1 ekor ayam kampung,salai kat atas api sampai masak di luar.

cilipadi,seinci kunyit,5 batang serai, sedikit halia,lengkuas,bawang merah dan putih,santan dan asam keping.

Ayam yang dah salai potong dan cuci,toskan, Tumbuk cili dengan kunyit dan garam dah hancur masuk bahan lain tumbuk hingga pecah termasuk lah serai. Masuk ayam dan bahan tumbuk dalam dalam kuali,kacau sampai air kering dan bau wangi keluar, masukkan santan pekat dari 2 bijik kelapa or 2 kotak santan.kacau,masukkan garam secukup rasa dan sekeping asam, biar sampai kering dan pekat,bila dah pekat boleh masukkan macam daun puding atau terung pipit.

Selamat mencuba dan sangat sedap makan masa panas2 dengan nasi panas2 dan timun sejuk2:):)
